I had a summer job ( in Texas! ) digging a foundation ditch for an addition to a restaraunt, with a high school buddy. We dug the ditch, wheelbarrowing the loads of dirt into a big pile. After that, the foreman had us move the pile about 100 yards. Then, he wanted us move it back! When we asked WHY, he told us that he really didn't have any work for us at the moment, but he wanted to keep us around and busy until he did, since we were such hard workers! We had a small conference, and both decided to quit on the spot..
