I seem to recall that it was YOU who decided to mention that the DOW was down 600 points...

I don't recall hearing you say anything about the other indices.

The Nasdaq is up 100% since it's low in 2002 and can go as low as 1900 and maintain the uptrend:

The SPX, on the other hand, really needs to hold these levels to avoid retracing back to 1100, but it's up almost 75% in 3 years:

Nothing goes up forever. All stocks have to take a breather and consolidate. If anything, it shakes the speculation out of the marketplace and puts the stock in the hands of more long-term investors.
