Not exactly; most of the accidents are due to the severe conditions in Iraq. like people have to drive at excessively high speeds on the open highways to avoid ambushes; like many US military jobs during past wars are now being done by contractors who have suffered over 400 deaths in Iraq.

And many lives have been saved by dint of very fast and competent medical help, a fact we all should be grateful for. Hundreds, possibly as many as 2,000 troops are still alive but would not have survived in prior wars. (This also means many gravely wounded people are back in the states and many are not getting the long term help they truly need because of VA cutbacks)

With the mainstream press? Nah, no conspiracy, just business as usual.

The conspiracy in the press began in the late 1950s and continues up to today.
