Hmm... it's sounding more like a hoax by the minute. IMO it's a pretty crummy trick to play on people, and there's just way too much of that sort of garbage floating around the Internet.

A little research on CoIntelPro goes a long way toward explaining how the tactic works.

I imagine a lot of us recall the Popular Mechanics piece a year or so ago, where a collection of intentionally goofy 9/11 theories were collected and easily "debunked". The amount of effort that goes into creating this kind of nonsense, for the sole purpose of knocking it down, and then associating every bit of credible research with it in the process, is rather remarkable.
