I have been playing with the survey. One question that swung me over from leftist to rightist depending on how it was answered is the gun question.
Now someone can be a flaming liberal but if he lives in montana he might also be a member of the NRA. OTOH someone can be a flaming conservative but if he lives in a big city, he might be for more restrictive gun laws.
A better model for this survey would be to have more than three choices for answers. I have seen surveys like this that would have 5 choices by using the word slightly
increase
increase slightly
maintain
decrease
decrease slightly

This may produce a better result.
