there was a story on NPR about an retail outfit (gas station chain) in Minnesota that allowed folks to lock in gasoline prices -- I guess I had always wondered why it wasn't done. Propane companies have been doing that for years. I don't think GM is being stupid -- given their situation -- but they ARE doomed. I am sure GM isn't selling naked calls ...
