The one time I tried to listen to Air America I found it very knee-jerk anti-Bush. But one of the constant elements of partisan politics is this - if I am passionate and scathing about somebody BAD on the OTHER side, I am revealing the truth and reveling in my triumph and righteousness. If someone on the other side does that to someone I like, they must be DERANGED. That is the context I meant to put it in. Let's face it, one playground crew on SI spends all their times bashing liberals and calling anyone not pro-Bush names, and another clique of kiddies bashes Bush and his followers 24/7. I don't think they are deranged, just childish. Both sides. I don't know why they bother. I never met anyone from one side who was ever convinced to change by any of it. That's why partisan political movements never build a durable majority in America, they are too insular and self-serving.
