Not true at all. If you look at the scientists predicting global warming you will in fact see the overwhelming majority of climate scientists in the Western world, mainstream scientists in academia and research institutes. They have no particular political idealogy. Seems like it is the "scientists" and shills working for the fossil fuels industries that are influenced by money and politics.

Besides, if we took measures against global warming it would not necessarily be bad for our economy. Replacing the fossil fuel economy with a more benign fuel economy would literally cause hundreds of billions in economic activity as everyone changed over and brought new equipment, and in the long run if the new energy sources was cheaper and more stabil our economy would benefit as consumers would have more money and economic decisions could be made with more certainity.
