Putting aside the pundit's professional requirement to appear profound, let me point out that that correlation without the establishment of causality doesn't get you very far.

It is the pundit's job to try to tease out those causal connections, for better AND for worse.

I disagree... Commodities are correcting big time and yet (overall) the dollar can't get out of it's own way. To me the shocking thing is not that commodities are correcting, we all knew they would... but that the dollar looks absolutely terrible!!
