cs, a brother down looks like a likely scenario to me

Not just on that chart, but also on the major indices since their highs this month (a la Freep's "three down of something or another" comment last week). Nearly all the declines look so impulsive that I think a brother can almost be counted on.

The bulls can argue that the Dow may be finishing a 4 off the October low, and Onischka's 4 of C off the January high of NDX is looking about done, but today we violated the top of the 1 under mc's "uberbullish" SPX chart from a few days ago. And there's certainly no "happy family theory" going on this year.

Sure, we'll get a bounce that will last a few or several weeks, but I think a lasting intermediate term bottom is months off (barring a major fundamental development - rate hike pause, more serious commodity falloff, etc).

Agree with bc - a "brother down" seems like a fairly good probability.
