JCP, I think all these people should have to pony up the $20k fine per illegal, just as the other employers will have to in the new legislation pending. Me too. But the truth is that most of the employers hiring illegals are the small businesses, such as contractors, mom-n-pop shops, etc. Just pointing the finger at "evil big business" isn't going to help, unless you argue that they're forcing the smaller businesses to resort to cheap illegal labor.
