The difference between the two is also noteable in that one pays for Air America and probably expects it to perform the way in which it does.( I have only heard it twice ). In other words, it is a choice.. On the other hand where I currently reside to listen to the local radio station I have Limbaugh and Hannity on all afternoon. No choice except to turn it off. However, I agree with your post that both are really so biased as to become redundant.... Too much in other words.
