Your words:

If Hillary is a lesbian (disclaimer: I have no way of knowing that), then the issue doesn't have to be with gays. The issue in such a matter is whether or not her representation is authentic. Although her private life is none of my business, her authenticity as a representative is. The overlap isn't easily dismissed in this case because our ability to trust that representatives are what they claim to be is crucial in determining the soundness of their platform.

Best regards,
Gem

You IMPLIED that Hillary must "come out of the closet" so that her word could be trusted. First of all, you admit to no proof at all of her actually being in the closet. This is your typical warped logic. We all know her policies, she spouts them on a regular basis. I'd tend to judge her on her record as a Senator and on her ideas. Some however want to deflect the issues (i.e. the horrendous record of Il Presidente Arbusto III) with innuendo and smears levelled on the worthy opposition. This is typical GOP tactics - lowdown and dirty.
