Wouldn't want to be lon NBIX in that scenario. But I don't believe it - SGP might make a better buyer if allowed (wondering here if Justice would let them have that much power in respiratory). They need drug revenues to use the cost base which never fully could contract from the Claritin hit. Buying SEPR could slingshot their earnings recovery.

"If this is real, no one should be surprised about leaks. Sure would be funny if it were pfe."

Someone dropped way over $1MM on short-term way-out-of-the-money options (the June 60s).

If there is a leak and the buyer is an tipee, he/she will make a lot of money and do time.

If it is spec buy, it has to be one of the dumbest buys of all time (there were three very large purchases within 5 minutes right after 2PM). The trader that I heard from said that he had never seen a purchase like today's.

A third (and much weirder) theory is that a big current owner bought the options to start a rumor and thereby increase the common to unload.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
