The above statement is the one I don't understand. It hasn't worked in the past. Drive the dollar down against what? Other fiat currencies such as the EURO, or YEN? Maybe the RAND, or the Canadian dollar, but who cares about that.

The major currencies are all busily emulating the dollar through their own monetary policies, and doing their damndest to make sure their currencies stay "competitive". And from what I read, those sentiments and concerns haven't changed lately.
