Democrats have much better plans on almost every issue except the few where they agree with Bush, like immigration. Kerry can still very truthfully say what he said in 2004, that "we have a better plan and a better way". Name an issue and I'll tell you the plan, and unless you're retarded you'll agree it's much better than Bush's.

One problem about progressive plans though is the numbers. Bush was supposd to hgave cut the deficits in half by now, and promised to many times. But instead the deficits are doubling, tripling. What money will be left? That is a huge question.

Reagan left large deficits which Bush Sr. and Clinton to raise taxes, but GW Bush's deficits make Reagan's look small-time. In fact, Reagan also raised taxes, just called them "fees" and Bush is now doing the same. 300 billion of Reagan's debt was the S+L debacle, his peoples' great idea to unleash free enterprise ("free" licenses to steal, the way rightwing deregulation usually works).
