I don't know if these miners have "agendas" when they proclaim prices will stay firm? I recall Phelps Dodge saying no way copper can exceed 1.50 a while back and then proceeded to hedge at 1.90... much to their chagrin. Aren't these pros supposed to know demand and inventory like the backs of their hands? Prefer to keep track of GDPs and urbanization rate in BRICs together with total energy consumption in these countries to gauge demand. Unknowns are still inventory storage in these countries as well as their mining efforts in these areas. I do not believe the stats coming out of China thru their "public relations" dept. Short copper anyone? JMO
