The two-page document contradicts the official line of the Bush administration that Iran is committed to the destruction of Israel and the sponsorship of terrorism in the region.

So who cares that the President of the country says that Israel should be destroyed, and writes "Israel must be destroyed" on his new Shahab missiles? Who cares that that Iran funds Hizbullah $100 million a year?

It's the "the official line of the Bush administration" so who you gonna believe, me or your lying eyes?

[ST: So Nadine, do you still think US wants an indipenedent and prosperous Israel in peace with its neighbors?]

Yup. But not at ANY price - and publicly ceding control of the Persian Gulf to a victorious and nuclear-armed Iran, in return for their promises to play nice and stop funding Hizbullah and al Qaeda and Hamas (promises which only a fool would believe), is, to put it mildly, one heck of a price.

Curious how you will believe anything that seems to attribute good will to the mullahs. Go ask some Iranians if they think this was a serious offer.
