Peter, If Reagan had not called for the cleansing of Grenada, it would have been another base for Castro. The soldiers we had to fight were almost all from Cuba, and we had citizens in peril on that island. Too many of the citizens of South American countries are used to having a dictator, or other kind of total ruler, and don't know what to do to gain some freedom for themselves. As long as those citizens are cowed into submission, the problems down there will continue.
