Their bombing campaign in Israel was as bad as anything we've ever seen, I've been in Israel before the intefata, during the first intifada, the gulf war, and the beginning of the second intifada. You could see it comming. When the Soviet Union collapsed and there were mobs of Russian Jews arriving daily there was a total change in attitude that Israel not only could take what it wanted to settle these people, but there was a sense that the Palesinians had been too proud and they were going to take them down a notch or two. Every step of the way there seemed to be the idea that if they just killed off any competent leadership in Palestine that the people would let Israel lead them. It hasn't worked yet, and I don't see it working in the future. TP
