Did you read the last part.

"Ten bucks says that the worst offenders will read these words and wonder, “Who is this joker talking about?” If characters like that work for your company—brother, you’re in for a world of hurt."

"Get involved instead of whining here that your kids can't read."

eh??

I have two grown daughters who have had both private and public education experiences. They only went to private school for one year. I did see some benefits but found the private governance to be more easily corrupted than the public system. They are quite successful and satisfied with their accomplishments so far. I am also a single parent of my eight year old daughter, who is in public school, mastering 6th grade math and excited about starting Algebra this summer. I've got no complaints. She is popular with the kids at school, involved in several outside extracurricular activities, has hobbies and self interests, and she is learning two foreign languages. Not to mention that she is loads of fun for me to hang out with.

"Education, including curriculum, is controlled by your local school board." Right, that has held her back some but we are trying to work with them.
