"how much religion have you tried personally"

An even more worthless addiction, the consequences of which are willfully ignorant people like you.

re: Speaking of which, how much religion have you tried personally, given your very strong prejudices against it?

"Confirmed" high Episcopalian when I was young... at one point I went to church every day. And i've always been fascinated by religion ... I won't say I "studied" the different religions, but I've certainly paid attention.

re: So I have to actually smoke marijuana in order to have an "informed" opinion on the matter?

No, but you might want to listen to those that have smoked it. A reasonable person would conclude that those folks know a bit more than you do about pot and addiction. Of course if you already made up your mind then there is no point in even discussing it, is there? Can't "learn" anything without an open mind.

Marijuana found to not cause lung cancer, maybe even help prevent it. washingtonpost.com

Maybe God put marijuana on this planet for a reason. Some religions use it as a daily sacrament. And at the very least we should not be spending billions and billions of law enforcement money continuing to criminalize it. Contrary to what Bill O'Reilly types say, the experiemts in Holland and Canada legalize (but controlling) pot have been very susccessful.
