CJ, Most of the founding fathers wanted to see a strict separation of secular and religious.

Wrong. The separation was between church and state, not "secular and religious." Most of the Founding Fathers were very religious people and wanted to practice their religion free from government influences.

The separation of "secular and religious" is an atheist notion.
