What really gives me a giggle is that the "holy" book OF the religion (Dianetics, The Modern Science of Menatl Health) reads not much differently from L. Ron's older Sci Fi titles! I read it because a high school buddy that I considered fairly intelligent had become a Scientologist. When I asked him if HE believed the crap in the book, he got pretty defensive, then told me he was making a lot of money as he had risen up in the organization. He was working as an "auditor", who lower ranking members paid to be cleared of "engrams".
