The eye is an organ that is quite often brought up by IT advocates as something that either appeared suddenly or had no function unless fully formed. I thought I would just cut to the chase and show that the whole spectrum of designs, from simple light sensitivity to complex camera like organs all have their incremental uses and examples. The eye, in fact, is a good example of something which not only evolved, but evolved several times in different ways in different species. TP
