re: "Thats why you do detailed science, and the scientists are saying it is largely the result of human activity. When the bulk of scientist agree that the data is conclusive, you should accept that."

Actually, no I don't know if "it" has been done. There is agreement that the earth has gotten warmer in the 20th Century. There is general agreement is that man has contributed to the warming that occurred in the 20th Century - but I do not know if there is a general agreement on how much that is. I believe that there may be general agreement that man is probably responsible for most of the warming that occurred since the 70's., but not so much for the warming that occurred at the first part of the 20th Century. I do not know if there is agreement that current temperatures are the highest in the past 1000 years.

The earth warmed very quickly from the 70's till 1998 (~0.3 degrees C). From 1998 till 2005 earth temperature have plateaued even though CO2 concentrations have continued to rise.

I've read very believable reports that only studies supporting the PC environmental opinions are getting published these days. Science has been politicized before and I think it is happening now.

When the bulk of scientist agree that the data is conclusive, you should accept that.

What was the opinion of "the bulk of scientists" on nuclear power - weren't we once told it should be banned as unsafe by "
concerned scientists"?

If one goes back in time, you'll find "the bulk of scientists" once said immigrants from southern and eastern Europe were a "racial threat" to the US. They also were big supporters of eugenics efforts to improve the race about that time. They were as certain they understood the real world as you are.
