Norhtern dancer, One of the top 10 of all time. But Seattle slew was my favorite.

Maybe someday we can get accurate computer races between the great ones.

In the 60's I would get stoned and stay up all night handicapping the races and then drive up to Bay Meadows or golden Gate.

I saw a horse once called Silver Duke, I really liked. I took out an emergency student loan for $300 and bet a hundred to win, place and show. The horse ran 4th.

We couldn't even buy a hamburger on the way home.-lol.

My handle on party poker is silver duke-lol.

Herb, you know the truth is I watched Secretariat win that Belmont race by 26 lengths. He was just flying as easy as you please.

That is the best horse that ever lived I think.

But what a race with Northern Dancer, Seattle Slew, Secretariat, Seabisket and CITATION!! War Admiral and Red??

The difference is that Secretariat was a natural, but the others were warriors.

I have a tradition of watching the triple crown every spring as the leaves come out and the days warm up and I can leave the door open to the outside world-lol.

Somtimes when we spent the night handicapping a race, a race would play out exactly like we had it in our minds. But most of the time the race came out like "what racing form were we reading"-lol.
