Consumers' inflation expectations, over one- and five-year horizons, also rose. The University of Michigan's one-year U.S. inflation expectation median rose to 4.0 percent in May from 3.3 percent in April. The University of Michigan's median expectation for U.S. inflation over a five-year horizon rose to 3.2 in the final May reading.

"CPI overstates inflation when anybody with a whit of common sense know the opposite is true shows that not only is he an inflationist but a stupid inflationist."

Then what does that make the deflation guys here? In the end humble John with no axe to grind using the KISS method thinks they can keep the ponzi scheme going if interest rates stay low and our banking system remains solvent.

I think Roach's about face has much to do with the pass through of inflation into the general economy that was not there only a year ago when we only had asset inflation.
