The region needs first to be split into its defacto components---israel + behind the barrier settlements, WB and gaza, and Jordan. All parties must agree however. In order for the Pals to agree, the separate components need to be part of a larger entity which will assure economic and technological progress not only for israel but for the arab components. I dont think this can work for just israel and WB/gaza. To get over the contentious history and hatred, Jordan needs to be in the mix. This is a hope of mine and it will take leader on all sides with great vision. Olmert was eloquent this week in DC and abbas was as well in Palestine. Good signs but for a long shot i admit.
