Abbas is taking the first step and if either hamas accedes to his demands or their is a vote on peace with israel that wins, its progress, albeit a small first step.
BTW, after the often belligent sharon demeanor i think olmert is doing quite well both at home and abroad. His speech to congress was eloquent. Sun says there is an opening window for US/Iran relations. I say perhaps the same is true for Israel/Palestine.
