How about an algore per barrel tax on oil extracted from the arctic for the environment. So long as ALL that money is placed in trust and utilized solely for the purpose of conserving those species that reside on the north slope. And while we're at it, we should have an "Al Gore" tax on all the profits OXY is extracting from Colombia that is applied to the foreign assistance package the Clinton administration pushed through back in the '90s, and additional tax for all the oil they get from the Elk Hills Naval Reserve. After all, Al Gore has some major holdings in OXY.. He shouldn't mind putting his money where his mouth is.. Hawk
