I'm not worried about Chinese competition in the long run. Chinese bureaucrats run the country and as soon as people start getting used to a little cash in their pockets the bureaucrats will start picking them. It's in their nature to destroy wealth.

In the short run the prospect of big bad China beating us could be a healthy wake up call for us to turn back from our own path to destruction.

My only fear is destruction from within.
