Read the Dan Broidy book "Halliburton" and tell me the crooks haven't taken over. Not only taken over our government in DC, but our military in Iraq. Talk about graft, fraud and corrupotion. Dick Cheney is exactly the man we don't want to be in charge of anything. While head of Halliburton, Cheney presided over illegal business ventures with Iran, Libya and Saddam Hussein. When confronted about it, he said he "wasn't aware". But he's clearly very much aware, usually a micro-manager, and unscrupulous as they get. Also, before Clinton came into power, Cheney made sure that a huge illegal outsourcing bill was passed which handed over a big chunk of our military's operational duties to - yep - Halliburton. And it's a real license to steal kind of deal. The mokre they spend the more they make, and they have an incentive to over-spend and over-bill on every single thing they do. What huge criminality has taken over our government.
