Barak agreed to Clinton's proposals, Arafat walked away without a counter-offer, and started a terror war. That seems pretty assymetrical to me.

Just like Iran should muzzle their Prez, Israel should muzzle their expansionistic elements. Look at how you respond to Iran's mutterings. Why do you think Arabs don't respond similarly to Zionist mutterings, even if a fair analysis is that not all Jews are that way?

I'd love to know what Clinton was thinking as things fell apart. Was he trying to be nice Bubba and think he'ed get another crack at things in a few months? That was the time for a very serious discussion about how US pressure would be brought to bare on the party walking away.
