Get real yourself. When Iran sends Hizbullah into the field, and Al Qaeda, and whatever other 'martyr' core it establishes, its going to have a pool of men to draw on that's over 3 times Israels entire population. And of course, it won't choose symmetrical warfare - unless it has its nukes ready.

Get real Nadine. Israel could take down Iran just as quickly as the USA took down Iraq. The problem would be what to do afterwards.

Iran's armed forces are not sufficiently modern to deal with an electronic airforce like the USA's or Israel's.

Neo.. have you ever served in a planning capacity within a military organization or think tank?

The Israelis BARELY had enough fuel capacity to attack Iraq's Osirak reactor in Baghdad, while covertly violating Jordan's air space in the process.

So, outside of using sea-to-air missiles launched from their limited force of German diesel subs, they would have to either have permission from one of the Arab states in between them, or from bases in Turkey, neither of which are likely avenues for them to attack from.

Now maybe they have an something "special" up their sleeves that I'm not perceiving, possibly from some agreement with India, but the ranges (and hours in the air for their pilots) are extraordinarily daunting... And to effectively attack Iran's infrastructure properly, it would require hundred's, if not thousand's, of sorties, or some kind of "secret weapon" (such as HERF-based.. etc).

But granted.. were Israel positioned on Iran's border, I would concur with your assessment. There would be no contest, until it came to defeating hordes of child suicide bombers, each packing a plastic key to open the gates of paradise.
