I'll match your Uriah Heep and raise you one Vanilla Fudge.

The only heavier groups in that time were Humble Pie and of course King Crimson, who in spite of their prog rock veneer had trouble getting gigs because they would blow every band they played with, including Humble Pie, right off the stage.

The 4th of 11 45 rpm singles I ever bought was a great psychedelic song called San Francisco Girls by Fever Tree .

Who'd have thought a bunch of old hippies would end up reminiscing on an SI thread?
