TP, one of my close friends used to be addicted to drugs before he found Jesus. He was on the verge of dropping out of college and becoming a junkie. Now he's graduated with a masters, happily married, and looking forward to a bright future.

There is nothing about true religious faith that is remotely similar to a high obtained through narcotics. Given what goes on in this world and some of the crap that people have to live through, faith is hardly ever the "easy way out" like drugs are.
