I recently spent a week in Houston. One thing that immediately jumps out is that the entry level jobs on the bottom of the economic ladder - landscaping and hotel workers, etc are filled by Hispanics. This has got to eliminate jobs for domestic minorities. How the dems can so blatantly dis their major support block on this issue is beyond me.

I dont know, I personally can agree with Pres. Bush's program SO LONG as there is MEANINGFUL BORDER ENFORCEMENT and MEANINGFUL EMPLOYER ENFORCEMENT, so long as the road to citizenship is long (12 years I believe the Pres said) and requiring minimums (language, taxes etc. However, my friend, who is every bit as Republican as I and every bit as educated and experienced is ADAMANT, send all 11 million HOME. I tell him thats probably totally impossible and likely would DAMAGE our economy. He DOESNT CARE, he is VERY stubborn on this issue. jdn
