"Considering that Core duo had a massive performance advantage over AMD all of Q1- AMD should not have gained ANY notebook share in Q1- but they did."

Why anybody believes that the notebook market is primarily driven by processor performance is utterly beyond me. Things like price, screen size and weight are bigger factors.

Re: Considering that Core duo had a massive performance advantage over AMD all of Q1- AMD should not have gained ANY notebook share in Q1- but they did.

It was nearly impossible to find a Core Duo with Windows in the first half of Q1 and many of the first Core Duo models to hit the shelves were overpriced. Q2 and Q3 will be better indicators how successful Turion and Turion X2 will be against Yonah.
