"Over-Representation of the Facts"

It's what known as "Doing God's Work." The environmental crowd has always operated on the basis that it is moral to distort and exaggerate in the name of selling their programs.

The classic example of this was "Nuclear Winter," the concept that a nuclear exchange would wipe out civilization. Carl Sagan was the leading exponent of this concept. During the 80's, it was "accepted wisdom." If you were an untenured Physicist at a University, you didn't dare dispute it.

The Kuwait fires during the first Gulf war proved that the whole concept was nonsense.

Another whatever, Lane3.... Reading all the links again, and all the nuances, twists, turns, and "NYT-smear tactics" ....well then, I have to plead guilty. We are so used to hearing Gore rant, rave, and scream, that I can believe anything about him, because we have heard him be a total jerk....Yes, total jerk. Listen to some of his rants sometime.

IF Gore hadn't called our President every name in the book, and acted less like a Statesman than ANY public official we've ever had, with the exception of Jim McDermott D-WA....maybe I wouldn't have just automatically assumed "Gore is behaving like he has on every other Public occasion for the last several years. So again, you get your way...I plead guilty.

Hillary has had her share of total off the wall rants as well. So had McCain....So has Kennedy, Byrd, Pelosi, etc... When public people behave that way, continually, after awhile, the populace just turns them off.
