The big "secret" of the movie is that Jesus had children with Mary Magdelene, but supposedly the first church of Constantine's era wanted to revise history and keep that part of Jesus' life out of canonical scripture. This is the "Holy Grail," not the cup that Jesus drank out of during the Last Supper, but the bloodline of Jesus' descendants that, if revealed, would turn most of Christianity upside-down. (In French, Holy Grail translates to "San Greal," but the theory is that the French phrase was actually supposed to be "Sang Real," or "royal blood.")

Damn, now I want to go see it but you've ruined it for me. Just kidding!

Its true that sang real is French for royal blood; however, Holy Grail does not translate into San Greal but rather Graal Saint.....in French, the adjective usually follows the noun. Now its true back then that royalty were considered by some close to God and maybe in a stretch considered holy but I would have to believe that the words for them back then would not be the same as they are now. Just a guess on my part.

The Priory of Sion is an ancient brotherhood that celebrated, among other things, the sacred feminine. Supposedly they guard the secret out of a deal they worked out with the Pope of the Crusades era. As for Opus Dei, it is a conservative sect of Catholicism where some members practice religious machochistic rituals.

The Catholic Church claims to have so many secrets......I wonder how many of them amount to anything of note.

Thanks for the review. ;-)
