Since this was a military town with lots of non obvious security, it could be said the suggestions were what people wanted known. The movie hints at FBI suggesting that they knew that the source was foreign but they did not want it getting out. This was also suggested at our street level. This means it probably isn't true. One theme that kept getting harped on was that it could be a splinter group in the government largely because the parade route had to be changed by higher ups and unless foreign groups had taps in funny places they could not have planned the route to pass the TBD since the route had been changed at the last minute. We knew this at our level, so the obvious inference is that someone got it changed to that place after long planning to have "it" there; that it was elements of the MIC. Whenever they are waiting for someone at a particular place which is controlled, even if it is known about beforehand, you can be sure it isn't amateurs running the show. Just try surveying the route of a politician and getting a clear shot at some place by finding a window that you can rent a week before the event. Right. That takes military style knowledge planning and professional pull. The only bolt action you can cycle that fast ordinarily in order to get 3 shots in 6 seconds would be the lee enfield. And that just barely. Most have a bolt path that cannot be palmed back and forth so they just won't cycle. 88 yards downhill is hard to aim at, but it is not that hard a shot. The bullet path is more problematic. The exits far from the entry and in the wrong direction is not that hard, tumbling bullets are not that hard to imagine. A person can get shot in the shoulder and it can exit his heel. It has happened, but the angle was all wrong for it to go thru Kennedy from back to front then thru Connelly from right to left too. It is just barely possible if Connelly's right hand was way over to the left and near his left thigh. The bullet had to go down to the left to hit Kennedy at 17.5 degrees approx, change to the right in Kennedy's head perhaps 30 degrees (and blow out the right side of his head), hit Connelly, change direction to the left in his body and go down thru his chest, arm and thigh at 45 degrees from level and perhaps 90 degrees from its it entry direction. It is possible, but had to hit bone three times. Would be one smashed up bullet. Wounds are not that consistent.
