I always buy and hold. Done me well. If I see my current ones falter less than others or even gain vs others I will sell portions and buy some of the bargains but for me this is no time to be in cash.

Last year I was leery of the doldrums as my PF sold off about 20% from March through June. But then it reversed and moved up about 50% from June through September. The typical pattern didn't hold true at all.

John Kaiser and many others (don cox?) think this summer may be different because of the new paradigm demand (2nd industrial revolution i.e. China).

I am betting we do not follow the historical pattern for summer doldrums, but we shall see. YOu could well be right.

I am 25% in cash which I will trade with. The other 75% is fully invested in my favorite stocks.

Mostly silver and zinc plays.

We shall see.

Overnight Market opens in a couple of hours and should be telling.

Its different this year. Remember this post. This summer home prices crash as the USD drops like a stone sending PM through the roof. This is not a summer for sitting on the beach or moose hunting ;-) >gGg<
