All Kerry's records have been released, investigated, studied, gone over with microscopes, etc. etc for almost 40 years. Not a single shred of his record has not been micro-investigated down to the tiniest detail, and there are nothing but superlatives in his entire record. In fact all it proves it that he really was a hero, and an amazing one.

Which is why the smearvets just decided to start making stuff up. And the wilder the lie the better. Then combining that with Kerry's somewhat gory testimony in front of congress, all of which was true and none of which was to hurt the troops, but save the troops from further madness. Combined with that they stated "this man was a traitor". In McCain's case they said the same thing but claimed he broke under torture and spilled to the "enemy". Courageous heros turned into cowards and traitors, like magic. Just a few lies is all it takes.

Btw, now we have a new atrocity in Iraq. Over 20 innocent people lined up and executed by our guys. That is exactly what happened when they get stuck in a pointless war with no clear mission and get stuck between sides in a civil war they have no real understanding of. This is just like My Lai, the explosion of frustration. What a tragedy. And exactly what Kerry was trying to stop in Nam.
