Pete, I predict you are wrong on all counts, except that Intel's Q2 will be ugly, but then, that's what they've already guided to, and what the market expects.

Q2 is going to be a disaster for Intel. Q3 is also going to be bad since nearly a full quarter of NGA will not stop a further sales decline. These two events will send Intel to new depths. Q4 may be a little better than Q3, but YoY it will be much worse. Thus Intel's 2006 will add up to being a disaster.

Yup, Intel's top and bottom lines will be down all four quarters this year. Their first chance for a positive YoY comparison is next April, and that'll be relative to their crummy last Q.

Doug's January 2008 INTC LEAPs are looking increasingly attractive currently at just about their lowest price during the life of the contract. And the 2009 ones will be introduced Tuesday so he can begin averaging down on those:
