Every eyewitness concurs, including the Vietnamese villagers and Navy records. There is not a single shred of evidence that there was anything even remotely controversial with Kerry's Silver Star. On the contrary. And not a single smearvet was within 50 miles of the place.

The Navy doesn't hand out Silver Stars lightly. Men who win them deserve them, and they are heros. No ifs, ands or buts.
