Ah, yes! We have given them a free trip up the learning curve. Not only are many graduate students in our engineering schools foreigners, but their teachers will tell you that is the foreign students that work hard and really want to learn. And, if our politicians would have let us win the Korean War, we would have the same kind of relationship with China we do with Japan, and no Vietnam to have dealt with. (Just MHO) Politicians and common sense are not strange bedfellows, because they never get in the same room together.
