<No. His contention is that the improvisation is done by Nature and that Nature stumbles on whatever is useful at the time> OK, but I'd contend that's smart or at least aware unless he can prove that it was indeed "stumbling"... and not 'finding' or 'doing' or "choosing" what was useful at the time. Wouldn't that be smart?? 1.) Do we agree that there is some "will to survive" and that choices are made based on that?? 2.) Do humans have consciousness/awareness/intelligence, and is there evolution based on those?? dAK
