and Scots and As to whether anybody in this country should get in perpetuity special considerations based on the race of their ancestors, that is another question, your answer and mine is no . I agree... and lest my 'unrealistic' treaty comment be misconstrued... I don't think the government had any notion of honouring them at all back then so promised a lot... Today with a society that is at least marginally more enlightened we are finding them hard to honour and just breaking them makes big negative headlines...
