The equivalent day in NZ is ANZAC day commemorating the war dead, which isn't generally a happy day, especially for those who start with a dawn parade in the cold and rain [which was so bad this year the services were truncated]. Thanks for the photo of the Nokia-Sanyo building. I have got photos of 26 QCOM buildings and don't know how to put them in SI, which is just as well perhaps. A couple of my photos are excellent if I do say so myself. They are a study in phragmented photons, quantum physics, observed, observed, reality and created reality. Sort of like QCOM creating mobile cyberspace while breaching the laws of physics. Did you see silly Newporti thinking that CDMA would come to a grinding halt if Nokia gave up the business and went back to making gumboots? He obviously doesn't understand that swarms of licensees will fill any void left by the retreat of Nokia from selling 3G CDMA. I doubt that QCOM's earnings would miss a beat, though the FRANDly upfront lump sum market-share dependent signing fee would be missed by QCOM shareholders. I'm sure Nokia will realize that being enormous, with huge market share, and a LOT of profits to be had, that it is only fair and reasonable that they pay a comparatively HUGE upfront signing fee [and it goes without saying that they should not get any discount on the rest of the intellectual property]. Though rumour has it that Nokia has some intellectual property which QCOM requires to stay in business in which case maybe there's room for a few discussions. Mqurice
